Sipping Tea and Doing Business is an easy-to-read, to-the-point business guide. The book is written in the introspective and insightful tone of a close friend that understands the real challenges and stressors businesswomen face.

Sipping Tea and Doing Business appeals to the overwhelmed, overworked, professional woman that has a vision of her own. Long on ambition and motivation, but short on hours, Sipping Tea and Doing Business provides a quick read full of resources and inspiration.

This book goes into her world, helps her sort through who she is and then defines it in the context of her business. As she reads she's inspired to forge ahead with a variety of inspirational quotes: "Women are like teabags, they don't know how strong they are until they get into hot water"

In the tearoom, she finds tea rituals and herself along the way. Business isn't as easy as she thought she begins to understand as she uncovers the many challenges in the Steam Room. But just before she's overwhelmed, she's invited to Grab A Cup and come back into balance
.

What does she really need to do business? Besides the vision and the power suit, she'll establish goals and explore missions in the Boardroom, tackle legal issues in the Courtroom and learn to market herself in the Media Room.

Sipping Tea and Doing Business is a book that inspires. It's interactive, conversational, and a wealth of information. Described as the "Business Woman's Bible" this is a book that businesswomen everywhere are anxious to read.

BOOK REVIEW . . .
From the budding entrepreneur to the seasoned business owner, Sheronde Glover and Loretta Patrick have written a gem of a guide that everyone should read. Even if you have no idea about what kind of business you want to start, this book is the first place you should look. If you feel like you have hit a brick wall and need some new inspiration this book is for you.

This book has been a major find for me in the struggle to start my own business. So many other small business start-up guides contain necessary information, but most are vague and general in their scope. Sheronde Glover and Loretta Patrick have been able to translate their knowledge from the world of starting their own business into language that is easily understood and a format that makes sense. Starting a business from scratch can be (and has been overwhelming for me). There are so many areas that need attention and I have trouble prioritizing what is most pressing.

In the "Take 15" section each of these areas has been broken down into manageable segments. By having the reader focus on one or two tasks in a 15 minute time period takes away the stress of "having-to-do-everything-at-once" or the "where-do-I-start" thoughts. The idea that starting, growing and maintaining a business can be handled in several small blocks of time is truly revolutionary. Each one of the 15 minute blocks is designed to build on the previous one. Before you know it you will have a business plan under way and be headed in the direction of owning your own successful business.

Many people have advised me that I will have to put my personal wants and those of my family on the back burner because running a business is all-consuming. Sheronde and Loretta shatter that mindset by creating one of their own. They realize that "time-out" is essential to running a successful business. Taking this time-out revolves around a cup of tea. Tea is one of the least expensive forms of aromatherapy available. Tea has calming and restorative elements that enhance a sense of well-being.

Sipping Tea and Doing Business is becoming my constant companion and my copy is very dog-eared. It has always been a woman's prerogative to change her mind and now women can change their mindset by following the guidelines set forth by Sheronde and Loretta.

For the woman that's too busy, too stressed and too overwhelmed to get started.
